The LABA7 Electromagnetic Damper Test System (EMA) becomes the industry benchmark in post-purchase support and defect coverage.
We are introducing a 5-year warranty for the supercapacitor bus used in the Electromagnetic Damper Test System. This warranty applies to all EMAs manufactured, past and future.
“The EMA has already been in use by OEMs, tuners, and top-tier motorsports teams for more than three years. The system has proven its reliability in various conditions, and we want potential customers to have no doubt about its long-term capabilities.” Says Andrius Liškus, CEO of LABA7.
The EMA uses advanced technologies that require little maintenance, enabling it to be transported, operated without an electrical supply, and more. Its construction allows for a significantly wider array of testing applications compared to a traditional Scotch-Yoke Shock Dyno.
Liškus continues: “The exceptional specifications of the machine can leave some critics sceptical about its real-life performance. We are taking practical steps to prove that LABA7 tech has market-leading reliability.”
The warranty covers the supercapacitor bus (Power Supply Unit), included in all Electromagnetic Damper Test Systems. Only units used in manufacturer-specified, normal operating conditions that experience a functional failure or degrade to a point where the EMA system can no longer execute its published testing specifications fall under the warranty. The Power Supply Unit that falls under these conditions will be repaired or replaced free of charge.
Systems that show signs of improper operation, modification not according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, or damage by natural disasters are not covered by the policy.
The EMA is a reliable, long-term solution for advanced damper testing. Test everything!
About the EMA
The LABA7 EMA (Electromagnetic Actuated) damper test system is the pinnacle of suspension testing technology. By utilizing advanced linear motors instead of traditional hydraulics, the EMA eliminates oil compressibility and seal friction, delivering pure, noise-free data. Recently upgraded with Torque-Based Testing and CCD/CDC capabilities, it is the only platform capable of fully characterizing the next generation of active suspension systems.
Key Features
- Beyond standard displacement protocols, the EMA now performs advanced torque-based testing. This allows for precise friction characterization, seal drag measurement, and constant-force simulation, providing deeper insights into internal damper mechanics.
- Fully compatible with Continuous Damping Control (CDC) and semi-active suspension systems. The EMA allows you to drive electronic valves and simulate ECU inputs in real-time, bridging the gap between hardware testing and software calibration.
- Direct-drive actuation ensures zero mechanical play, allowing for complex waveforms like Pink noise, Chirp, and Square waves that hydraulic systems cannot replicate.
- Import telemetry data directly to simulate specific racetracks (e.g., Nürburgring, Monaco) in the workshop, solving handling issues before the car returns to the track.
- Unique to LABA7, the system uses supercapacitor packs to store energy, allowing high-power testing (up to 120kW peak) while running on a standard domestic grid.
