LABA7 Academy:
Live Online Training in Damper Service and Dyno Analysis

A shock dyno shows you the data. Knowing what the graph means, and what to change inside the damper, is a separate skill. LABA7 Academy teaches it in five live online courses, from basic service to tuning strategy.

  • Five courses for different skill levels and needs.
  • Groups of up to 10.
  • Bring your own dyno files.
  • Taught in English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese
  • No LABA7 equipment needed.

No payment now. We confirm dates first, then send an invoice.

The Five Courses for Suspension Damper Maintenance and Tunning

The five courses cover damper work from start to finish: servicing a shock absorber, testing it on a dyno, reading the graph and building valving to hit a target. They are for people who work on dampers every day and people who are just starting: suspension workshop technicians, race team mechanics, suspension tuners, dyno owners and engineers.

The principles are the same for MTB, motorcycle, car and off-road dampers, so the courses apply to all of them. Course 5 covers each application separately.

New to damper work? Start with Course 1. Already own a shock dyno? You can start directly with Course 3. Each course ends with a defined outcome, listed below.

Luis Peixoto is a Mechanical Engineer and a true off-road enthusiast. Suspensions entered his life seven years ago, and he has never looked back. Educational content, suspension courses, and workshop services – such as maintenance and revalving – form the core of his business, focused mainly on dirt bikes while also covering mountain bikes and rally cars. He has provided consultancy to companies including Decathlon, Racing4You, and KKE, helping refine suspension performance in highly specialized applications.

Through close connections across the industry – including OEMs, MXGP factory teams, and LABA7 – Luis has built a rare depth of knowledge few can match. His goal remains constant: to improve the suspension industry and community for the better.

FAQ About LABA7 Academy

Do I need LABA7 equipment?

No. Anyone can join. Courses 3 to 5 use LABA7 dyno software for demonstrations, and the methods apply to any shock dyno.

What language are the courses in?

English. If enough people sign up, we can arrange groups in French, Spanish or Portuguese.

When does the first group start?

Dates are not set yet. Leave your details and we will email you when they are.

How do I pay?

When dates are set, we confirm them with you and send an invoice. Your seat is held once the invoice is paid.

What if I miss a session?

You get the recording. Recordings, slides and dyno files stay available for 90 days.

Can I send a colleague instead?

Yes, at any time, as long as they meet the course prerequisite.

What if I need to cancel?

28 or more days before the first session: full refund. 7 to 27 days: 50% refund or a free transfer to the next group. Less than 7 days: no refund, one transfer to a later group. If we cancel or move a course, for example because fewer than [5] people booked, you choose a full refund or a transfer.

Which vehicles do the courses cover?

Damper principles are the same across vehicles. Course 5 covers MTB, motorcycle, car and motorsport, and off-road applications separately.
